$18,500 Distributed to Local Non-Profits This Holiday Season
December 12, 2024
The end of year is a time for reflection, and a time for giving. Community Bank embraced the holiday season with the goal of making an impact in our communities with Community Giving Days.
Twelve local non-profit organizations in Northeast Oregon and Southeastern Washington were awarded a total of $18,500 this holiday season. Community Bank chose to support organizations that fight food insecurity, assist children and their families, or are elderly based.
Organizations that received donations include Community Connections Food Bank in Wallowa County and La Grande, Elgin and Asotin County Food Banks, Community Connections Meals on Wheels program in Baker City, Walla Walla Senior Center Meals on Wheels program, Building Healthy Families in Wallowa County, the La Grande Lions Coats for Kids Program, Pendleton’s Altrusa Feed the Child program, Made to Thrive in Hermiston, The Health Center in Walla Walla, and the Northeast Oregon Compassion Center in Baker City.
These organizations make a tremendous impact in our local communities, and we were honored to be able to share our thanks with the individuals that choose to give back to others.
In addition to the monetary donations, branch locations served as a collection site for various causes such as Toys for Tots, Angel Trees, and Food and Coat Drives.
